MEMTEST86+v2.10 Tests konnten sogar mit (FSB:612 x 6.0) E8600 at 3.673GHz DDR1224 erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden!

Dazu, was die einzelnen Einstellungen bewirken, schreib' ich mal zusammen, was ich so im Netz gefunden habe:

Was bewirkt der FSB Strap to North Bridge / Definition des Straps (von teuflor aus forumdeluxx abgekupfert)

* Als Strap bezeichnet man den internen Teiler der NB bzw. den Takt, mit dem diese arbeitet.
* Der (interne) NB-Takt ist direkt an den FSB gebunden, somit steigt dieser zwingend mit einer Erhöhung des FSBs an.
* Durch bestimmte Grenzen der NB ist es notwendig, diese ab einem bestimmten FSB zu entschärfen/herunterzutakten, um den FSB weiter zu erhöhen.
* Die ist ähnlich dem Multiplikator der CPU. Erreicht die CPU eine Wall senkt man den Multi, um den FSB weiter erhöhen zu können
* Je niedriger der Strap, umso höher der interne NB-Takt! Dies verbessert die Timings und auch den Durchsatz, wenn auch lange nicht so sehr wie ein höherer FSB.
* Abschließend wird der NB-Takt auch vom default/aktuellem Multiplikator beeinflusst.


DRAM Static Read Control
Ist diese Option auf Enabled, dann sollte es das Speicher-Overclocking verbessern,
in der Praxis bewirkt es aber meist das Gegenteil, daher sollte man auf Disabled stellen.

DRAM Read Training
Ist diese Option auf Auto, so werden die Datenzugriffe automatisch optimiert.
Bei diesem Verfahren handelt es sich um einen Lernmechanismus, der den sonst fixierten DRAM CLK SKEW durch die Analyse
der Daten automatisch auf den optimalen Wert der aktuellen Clock- bzw. Timing-Settings anpasst.

Mem. OC Charger
Hinter dieser Einstellung versteckt sich das, was dazu nötig ist, um den P45-Chipsatz in Sachen Speichertakt auf Vordermann zu bringen.
Sie bewirkt die Anpassung des Signals, damit der Betrieb auch bei hohem Takt/engeren Timings "innerhalb der Spezifikationen" gehalten werden kann,
und es nicht zu Instabilitäten kommt. Vereinfacht gesagt verbessert der OC Charger durch Veränderung des Signals die Stabilität,
ohne dass man die Spannung erhöhen müsste.

sonstige infos:
VTT würd ich für nen Dual nicht mehr als 1,28 also <1,3 geben das reicht bis zu FSB600

bei nem Quad brauchst du mehr, da würde ich mir <1,4V als Grenze legen.

VNb: 1,45 is schon sehr sehr viel für nen P45, normal biste weit unter 1,4

für FSB500@Quad brauchste schnell mal 1,45V


Wichtiges zur VTT:

made the mistake of using a very high VTT termination voltage of 1.51V

(VTT is used to terminate data lines between the MCH and CPU).
